Olympic Rush
Just got back from Vancouver and before the jetlag even gets a chance to settle it’s already time to pack my bags and hit the road again. It’s going to be a busy year. After traipsing from Texas into the mountains and across the midwest, we will find ourselves back home…..at the Juno’s! 2010 shall be remembered as the party that refused to end.
The boys seem to sense that my presence this week is very temporary and are being uncommonly sweet to me. There have been very few groin punches or insidious sofa sneak attacks…..and there has been an abundance of hugs. It will be hard to leave them again so soon.
But duty calls. We have places to go and people to rock.
I’d like to send out a very special thankyou to my new friend Aaron (Redbeard) Low of www.voxcura.com. As some of you may know, I have been under vocal rest since christmas….and it felt more like vocal arrest. Not being able to sing was a particularly cruel torture to endure and I do not wish it on anybody, but it did remind me of something i too often take for granted; I love to sing. For awhile there it looked like the tour and the Olympics would not be able to happen. Then Aaron gave me a a sound throttling with his huge pirate hands and now I feel much better. Thank you Redbeard.
On with the show

Hi Sean, I finally got my copy of Lullabies for Bloodshot eyes!
I didn’t pre-order thinking that I would have it sooner but no such luck, the stores were sold out! I was beginning to feel like I was the only one in town without your CD. My thoughtful daughter surprised me though & had managed to find one for me which she gave me as an early birthday present. Now wasn’t that nice! I can’t make up my mind which song I like best. When I listen to it I hear hauntings of some of my other favorite artists like Mark Knopfler (Golden Heart), John Lennon, Rod Stewart, Johnny Cash, & Raul Malo. You have a great voice, take care of it & thanks for making such a great cd. I’ll be waiting for the next one!!!!!
love the picture, that miracle-am looks indeed like Barbarossa. glad to hear you’re back to full vocal force and ready to rock.
Enjoy home!
J.
Be careful with your voice when you go out on the road. Seriously. You are not replaceable.
Hi Sean. It was great talking to you yesterday via telephone. Have a safe trip, and take care of that beautiful voice of yours. Looking forward to catching up with you at the Junos.
Cheers!
Was trying to fall asleep but my juke box of a head kept playing songs from “Lullabies for Bloodshot Eyes”! I’ve now decided not to pick a favorite, I like them all!! Keep on singing.
P.S. Forgot to mention, great picture of you & Redbeard!
What happened to your vocal chords? Ouch. I cut mine once and had laryngitus for over a year. Still don’t have my full range back.
