In Between Days

The following was written (but not posted) on May 30th…..

Ever get the feeling you were sitting in someone else’s grocery cart? Lost among the isles…..in cereal looking for eggs…in the 20 or under checkout line….holding 21? That’s how I feel most of the time. Somewhere close to…but never quite there…something I always see coming but can never avoid….always north of reason …and slightly south of right….somewhere in between.

Spent the last to weeks @ home with my wife and sons….just living. Day to day. Breakfast to bath. Bloody noses and dirty bums. Wrote some songs…..and recorded even more. Ran the dogs and marked the passing of another year (43). I Watched my baby blow 2 candles clean off a cake . And then i watched the news….and wished I hadn’t.

I don’t know where I’m going, but I know i can’t stop.

I will see you all….out there…next week.

  1. Good news is all the aisles will lead to the checkout…eventually.
Keep your head up high, forget the tiredness of yesterday and buy today a pint.
All the very best, as ever

  2. All the time.
Live one day at a time, what ever is meant to happen, will!
Try not to watch the news, it’s mostly bad & then you end up feeling upset.
If you haven’t had a tetanus shot in a few years maybe you had better get one for your punctured foot before it’s too late.

  3. P.S. If your foot keeps hurting you could try some regular “Ozonol”. I find it works really well. It helps with the pain & it also heals so much faster.

  4. Glad to hear that your toe is on the road to recovery(twitter)Can’t imagine not being able to tap your toes to GBS music when its YOU that is making the music. Take care.

  5. I’ve been there many a times. Remember, take a deep breath and enjoy the little things in life. You will eventually find the eggs and check out, heading for home to make a fabulous omelette. :-)
