  1. This episode was an absolute delight, a ray of sunshine on a grey, misty Glasgow morning (still a bit battered and disorientated from friday night’s ceilidh). It was like finally finding a radio station that plays all your favourite songs. Very delighted about the Planxty song, I hadn’t listened to that one in a while!

    Many many thanks
Have a great day, all the very best
Hope the toe is doing better

‘Over at McCann’s there’s a grand type of dance band a playing and they’re spinning out the continental ceilidh’ (Christy Moore)

  2. sorry for the double post! I love how your accent keeps shifting throughout the episode :)

  3. Loved Listening to this episode. They were songs I wouldn’t normally have heard.

Any chance at throwing Our Station or Finnegan’s Wake into the set list once in a blue moon? They are 2 of the songs I listen to most from Live at the Blarney Stone and I would love to hear your take on them now.

  4. Thanks Sean, Always appreciate the insight! Its great to see how an artist got to where he is. Hope the foot is healing and you will be back to your old runs in no time!

  5. I’m quite impressed by your selections – it’s at least partly your fault that I became a trad music junkie 12 years ago, and I’ve owned CDs with those songs for almost that long. Kudos for leading off with Figgy Duff and Pamela Morgan – can you believe that your local music industry association recently told her that she wasn’t “export ready”?!?!? Pamela is a national treasure, and she’s living proof that having amazing talent doesn’t guarantee great success.

  6. Awesome episode! I didn’t even know it existed, and will be looking forward to more.
    Cheers

  7. Great episode! I wish there were radio stations like that in Chicago. . .

  8. Very much enjoyed listening! I haven’t heard Steeley Span for many a year, thanks so much for sharing your selections with us :o )

  9. Nice! Thank you! Took a little time away from the kids and this was a real treat! BTW I took the liberty of sending a link to your site to a couple venues here in Kingston,On. Hoping this will all lead to a solo show (maybe around your Toronto date in August). A girl can dream!
