  4. What a twist! Nice, well sung.

  5. Sweet melody and great lyrics. Three week tours with 11 other guys must be tough! I’m glad someone’s there for you!

  6. I agree with ‘May-be Miracles’ – really nice song to listen to and amuzing ending. Will this be available for purchase somewhere?

  7. Sweet tune. And it’s always good to have a hobby, something you enjoy, something you’re good at.

  8. I know some guys like that…

  9. Oh Lord

  10. Great song! And at first, I thought it was your dog!

  11. Only you Sean, only you. There for a bit I thought you were singing about Tosh, sure glad I was wrong!!

  13. Giggles!! Great tune and certainly sung with feeling…or is that sung about feeling?

  14. haha. spoiler! the song title gave it away.

  20. They say you cannot truly love others unless you love yourself first!lol GREAT SONG!!!!!

  21. Do you at least buy it a drink first? ;)

  22. Ha! You’re a goofy-footer!! =P

  23. Now that’s the healthy McCann we all know and love. Love the juxtaposition of the style and the lyric; ironic, innit?

  24. Interesting that you refer to your left hand as she. Getting in touch with your feminine side?

  25. I think of the smile that would light up Jackson Browne’s face if he hears this. In the tradition of Rosie … he’d shake you (right) hand.

  26. Great song Sean! You, my friend, are a poet. Your work is amazing. Thank you.

  27. So, if you were ambidextrous would you also be a polygamist? Good work Sean, can’t wait for the full album!

  28. Quite nearly spewed milk all over my laptop laughing at that one. Brilliant!

  29. Wow- I am always pleased with Great Big Sea songs- And I love this song as well. You have an amazing voice (and am sure you’ve heard so many times)….especially in the song England!

    Take care- Lauren Orr, QC

  30. From the critic’s corner – juvenile humor wrapped up in a sophisticated package (no pun intended?)…. it was hysterical. I would like to propose an alternate title though, in the tradition of Paddy Murphy, how about “The Night I Spent With Mother Thumb and Her Four Daughters”…cheers

  31. Great song. Love it.

  32. Awesome song…how can I get it as an MP3? This is a classic!!
Please email to jtychol@hotmail.com if you have it as an MP3.
    Thanks

  33. I will now forever snicker at “the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing” phrase:) And props to whoever suggested Mother thumb and her four daughters…LOL

  34. Sean,
    Great CD.
I thought your voice was a mix of Johnny Reid and Rod Stewart.
Such passon in your words , especially for your wife.
    Great name for your Sons.
Hoping this CD is a great success.
    Barb
